AUDITION LOCATION: Storybook Princess Studio – 1630 Albert Street (above Dancer’s Den)
Complete the audition form on-line or be prepared to fill in a form and résumé on arrival (photo appreciated).
Bring dance shoes or runners (no sock feet) and wear comfortable clothing for dancing
Adults - 14 years old and over
Prepare a song (16 bars) in the musical theatre genre, showcasing your vocal quality, range and volume.Your song accompaniment. A pianist will be provided, but you may bring your own.
In the audition you will read from the script and learn and perform a short dance routine in a group.
Children - 8 – 13 years old (must be 8 by July 1, 2020)
Will learn a song and dance at the audition.No other preparation required.

Rehearsals will be held four times weekly:
Sunday rehearsals from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Monday & Thursday rehearsals from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday rehearsals starting June 10 from 7:00-9:30 p.m.
First read-through May 4 at 7:00 p.m.
Five performances: July 8-11 at 7:30 p.m. and July 12 at 2:00 p.m.
Venue: Regina Performing Arts Centre
Children’s auditions will be booked in groups of 10 at 30-minute intervals. Adult auditions will be booked in groups of 6 at 45-minute intervals.

All individuals cast in the show must be members of Regina Summer Stage. A ten-dollar membership fee is required.
CAN I SEND AN AUDITION ELECTRONICALLY IF I AM UNABLE TO APPEAR IN-PERSON?
On-line auditions are possible only with prior approval from the producer.
On-line submissions are required no later than midnight (Regina time) March 31, 2020. Please e-mail the link to the producer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On-line auditions must include
a song of 16 bars in the musical theatre genre showcasing your vocal range, quality and volume
a creative demonstration of your abilities in dance including step-touch; grapevine; step-ball change
a monologue of no longer than a minute
a “dance only” submission should show creativity including a pirouette, 3-step turn, step kick, step-ball-change
On-line submissions will be considered if you are out of town on audition dates or involved in other productions/work commitments that would not allow you to participate in in-person auditions.
